We thank you for supporting our emergency aid with a donation. For the equivalent of 10 euros, we can buy food for a family for a week. The next delivery is planned for April 2025.
We have already helped hundreds of families through several emergency aid campaigns. The region in which we operate is very poor and, after the civil war, extremely poorly served. Basic medical care is available, but nothing more. The war has left many children half-orphaned. People lack everything; there is not enough food. Therefore, every year we invest a portion of our donations in emergency aid.
Through the NGO WDIRA, we distribute food and high-calorie foods, especially to malnourished children and families. We purchase local products – such as "Faffa" and "Cerifam" – in the country. This way, we support both recipients and producers.
During the last distribution in January 2024, we focused on children suffering from tuberculosis. The course of the disease is further aggravated by malnutrition. Faffa is a high-calorie food for children.
In 2023, we distributed a shipment of "Cerifam" to families in a refugee camp, as it became clear during our on-site visit that malnutrition is a key problem there, especially for young children.
In November 2022, we were able to distribute 120 aid packages (18 kg of flour each). The donations went to children who lost a parent to the war, thus helping families who no longer have an income. You can see the pictures below.
For the equivalent of 2,000 euros, we bought around 2,000 kg of flour, transported it to Mersa, and had it distributed there by WDIRA. The aid benefits poor families, primarily single women with children. A drop in the ocean. But perhaps two weeks without hunger for these children and their families.
